Specialty Lubricants
Purpose-built for specialized performance.
VORTEX Specialty Lubricants are developed for applications that demand performance beyond the capabilities of conventional lubricating oils and greases. These purpose-engineered products combine carefully selected base fluids, advanced additive technology and application-specific formulation to address unusual temperatures, material compatibility, environmental exposure, cleanliness requirements and specialized manufacturing processes.
Working closely with customers and technical partners, VORTEX provides targeted solutions for industrial processing, equipment maintenance, metal treatment, component protection and other technically demanding applications. Each product is developed around the equipment, process and operating environment it is intended to serve, supporting reliable performance, controlled production and consistent quality.

Product range
White Mineral Oils
Highly refined, colourless and odourless mineral oils developed for selected industrial, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, polymer, textile and food-related processing applications.
Technical, food-contact and pharmaceutical grades are not interchangeable. Any purity, regulatory or food-contact claim applies only where specifically confirmed by the individual product documentation and relevant certification.
Process Oils
Specially selected oils used as processing aids, carrier fluids, extenders or raw-material components in rubber, plastics, polymers, textiles and other industrial manufacturing processes.
Available formulations may include paraffinic, naphthenic or other application-specific process oils selected according to colour, viscosity, solvency, volatility and material-compatibility requirements.
Mould-Release Oils
Developed to support clean and efficient separation of manufactured products from moulds and formwork. Selected products provide controlled release performance, surface coverage and protection against adhesion while helping maintain acceptable finished-surface quality.
Applications may include concrete formwork, rubber, plastics, metal casting and other correctly specified moulding processes.
Rust and Corrosion Preventives
Protective fluids developed to form a temporary barrier against rust, oxidation, humidity, salt exposure and atmospheric corrosion during manufacturing, storage, transportation or equipment shutdown.
Selected products may provide oily, waxy, solvent-deposited or water-displacing protective films according to the required application and protection period.
Flushing Oils
Low-viscosity cleaning and circulation oils developed to assist in removing residual contamination, degraded lubricant, loose deposits and process debris from compatible lubrication systems before introducing the new service lubricant.
Flushing procedures must be selected according to the equipment condition, system design, seal compatibility and equipment-manufacturer guidance.
Quenching and Heat-Treatment Oils
Specialized oils developed to provide controlled cooling during the heat treatment and hardening of metal components. Product selection depends on the required cooling rate, component geometry, metallurgy, bath temperature and desired surface finish.
Transformer and Electrical Insulating Oils
Highly refined insulating fluids developed to provide electrical insulation, efficient heat dissipation and dependable protection within transformers, switchgear and other correctly specified oil-filled electrical equipment.
Selected inhibited and uninhibited formulations may be available to meet applicable IEC 60296 and related ASTM or equipment-manufacturer requirements. These products provide high dielectric strength, excellent oxidation stability, low moisture content, controlled dielectric losses and resistance to sludge formation.
Transformer oils require dedicated storage, handling, filtration and testing procedures to prevent contamination by moisture, particles or incompatible fluids. Product selection must always follow the transformer manufacturer’s requirements and applicable electrical-safety and performance standards.
Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluids
Specialized hydraulic fluids developed for equipment operating near heat, molten materials or potential ignition sources where conventional mineral hydraulic oils may present an unacceptable fire risk.
Available technologies may include water-containing or synthetic fire-resistant fluids. Compatibility with pumps, seals, hoses, metals and existing system fluids must be confirmed before conversion or use.
Biodegradable and Environmentally Responsible Lubricants
Selected lubricants may be developed for environmentally sensitive applications where biodegradability, reduced toxicity or lower environmental impact is required.
Any claim relating to biodegradability, environmental acceptability or regulatory compliance must be supported by the applicable product data and recognized testing or certification.
High-Temperature Lubricants
Purpose-engineered oils and greases developed for chains, bearings, conveyors and other components exposed to elevated temperatures. These products provide oxidation resistance, controlled volatility, deposit management and reliable lubricating-film retention within the specified operating range.
Specialty Greases
Application-specific greases developed for unusual loads, temperatures, speeds, materials or environmental conditions. Selected formulations may include high-temperature, water-resistant, chemically resistant, electrically conductive, food-grade or synthetic grease technologies.
Detailed general-purpose and extreme-pressure grease products are presented within the dedicated VORTEX Grease section.
Petroleum Jelly
Highly refined semi-solid petroleum products available for selected industrial, technical, cosmetic and protective applications. Purity, colour, consistency and regulatory requirements depend on the intended use and must be confirmed for each individual grade.
Specialty Maintenance Products
Selected maintenance products may include penetrating oils, anti-seize compounds, wire-rope lubricants, open-gear compounds, assembly lubricants and protective fluids developed for specific servicing and maintenance requirements.

Application-focused development
Specialty lubricants must be selected according to more than viscosity alone. The correct solution may depend on operating temperature, load, speed, metallurgy, seal compatibility, process conditions, environmental exposure, cleanliness requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
VORTEX evaluates these factors when recommending a specialty product. Where a standard portfolio item does not fully address the application, customized product development may be considered subject to technical feasibility, testing requirements and minimum production quantities.
